Anderson Cooper, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos, Pat Benatar and the rock band Train are expected to ride in this year’s Endymion as grand marshals.
The Veternan CNN journalist Anderson Cooper will be joined by Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos and rocker Pat Benatar. Also joining the Ripa, Cooper and Consuelos will be local musician Troy 'Trombone Shorty' Andrews.
Endymion founder and captain, Ed Muniz announced that the parade will rolls to the Ernest M. Morial Convention Center due to Superdome renovations.
Before the parade rolls through its tradition Mid-City route, the Mixed Nuts will perform at noon, followed by the Topcats at 1 p.m., then Trombone Shorty at 2 p.m., followed by the Bucktown All-Stars at 3:15 p.m. for Samedi Gras.
The parade is scheduled to roll at 4:30 p.m.
