The Tennis star Maria Sharapova Engaged to Nets' Sasha Vujacic, but Is in No Hurry to Tie the Knot
Maria Sharapova got engaged to NBA small forward Sasha Vujacic in October of last year, killing the dreams of thousands of teenage boys the world over.
After all, with Maria about to enter the permanent stage of her WAG career, their dreams of someday marrying the former world No. 1 tennis player were going up in smoke.
However, there is a glimmer of hope for them now, after Maria told that she and Vujacic, best known for his headbands and three-point shooting skills, had not set a wedding date as of yet.
Maria told the gossip website that she and Sasha are still extremely young, and that they're not rushing into anything.
While Maria seems deeply in love with Vujacic, her delaying the move to permanent WAG status comes as little surprise. After all, Sasha's Nets are in the midst of a furious charge at the playoffs, and he needs to focus on waving his towel and cheering on Deron Williams.
Maria Sharapova, meanwhile, looks locked in on her goal of regaining the swagger that made her one of the best tennis players in the world early in her career, before injuries derailed what was looking like a promising career.
