Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck Expecting Their Third Child

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are expecting their third child, the couple confirmed to the Associated Press on Monday.

The couple released a one-sentence statement which said that they are "thrilled" to have another child on the way. The couple has two daughters, 5-year-old Violet and 2-year-old Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who are both 39, married in 2005 in a private ceremony in the Caribbean after dating for a year. The two appeared together in the 2003 film 'Daredevil'.

Jennifer Garner was previously married to actor Scott Foley, who she met on the set of 'Felicity' in 1998. The couple were married from 2000 until 2003. Garner also dated her 'Alias' co-star Michael Vartan from 2003 until 2004.

Ben Affleck dated actress Gwyneth Paltrow in 1998, following her breakup from Brad Pitt. The actor was briefly engaged to singer Jennifer Lopez after dating between 2002 and 2004.

In the film, she plays a working-class girl who catches the eye of playboy Arthur Bach, portrayed by British funnyman Russell Brand, 35, However, Bach's initial love plan consists of marrying an heiress, played by 32-year-old Garner, so that he can inherit a fortune. Oscar-winning British actress Helen Mirren, 65, plays his nanny.

Gerwig said Mirren is 'amazing', adding. She's like a real role model. She's so what I want to be when I grow up, when I'm 60. I wanted to talk to her about life and just how she views it.

Greta Gerwig, a California native who lives in New York, began her on-screen acting career in 2006 and appeared alongside Ben Stiller in the 2010 movie 'Greenberg'.

She also starred in the romantic comedy 'No Strings Attached' earlier this year with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.
