Natalie Portman Reveals Name Of Her Newborn Son

Actress Natalie Portman's Newborn Son name has been revealed.

Natalie Portman and her fiancé Benjamin Millepied welcomed their first child last month, have named the child Aleph, which means the numeral '1' in Hebrew, a source confirmed to People.

Aleph is also the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet. The name can also be spelled 'alef'. The esoteric meaning in Judaic Kabbalah relates to the origin of the universe, the primordial one that contains all numbers.

The 30-year-old Portman, who is originally from Israel, learned to speak Hebrew when she was growing up.

Natalie Portman met Millepied on the set of Black Swan, for which she won the Oscar for Best Actress earlier this year. She most recently starred in Thor.

Natalie Portman On 'Black Swan' Dance Double Controversy

The Actress Natalie Portman is staying mum about her 'Black Swan' dance double's claims that she only did a small portion of the dancing in her Oscar-winning performance.

I know what went on. And we had an amazing experience making the movie and I don't want to tarnish it by entering into nastiness, Portman tells E! Online. I'm really proud of everyone's work in the movie and my experience.

I'll have that forever. So it's nice for me to always know about that no matter what kind of nastiness or gossip is going around.

The American Ballet Theatre soloist Sarah Lane told Entertainment Weekly, last month, that Portman performed approximately 5 percent of the dance scenes in the film, while she did the rest.

Sarah Lane added that the film's producer, Ari Handel, asked her not to discuss her work with the press because the producers wanted to play up Portman's training and dancing for her Oscar campaign.

Among Sarah Lane's complaints is that the actress did not thank her in her Oscar acceptance speech, but Natalie says that she doesn't remember my Oscar speech at all, and I'm actually too embarrassed to watch it.

The 'Black Swan' director Darren Aronofsky and co-star Mila Kunis have already come to Natalie Portman's defense. Aronofsky said he determined that Portman did 80 percent of the dancing after going through all the dance shots in the film.

Natalie Portman did do every ounce of every one of her dances, Kunis said last month. Sarah Lane wasn't used for everything. It was more like a safety net. If Nat wasn't able to do something, you'd have a safety net.

The same thing that I had a double as a safety net. We all did. No one ever denied it.

Mila Kunis Says Natalie Portman Danced Her Her A** Off

The actress Mila Kunis has jumped to the aid of the Natalie Portman body double controversy. Last week Natalie Portman's body double Sarah Lane denied that Portman did most of the work. Portman's fiance who also choreographed the film and the film's producer all jumped to defend Natalie. Now her co-star Mila Kunis shares her two cents.

Kunis told Entertainment Weekly, Natalie danced her a** off. "I think it's unfortunate that this is coming out and taking attention away from the praise, Natalie deserved and got. It was more like a safety net. If Nat wasn't able to do something, you'd have a safety net.

The same thing that I had, I had a double as a safety net. We all did. No one ever denied it.

The 'Black Swan' director Darren Aronofsky also shared his views.

The reality, Aronofsky said in a statement released Monday through studio Fox Searchlight. I had my editor count shots. There are 139 dance shots in the film, 111 are Natalie Portman untouched, 28 are her dance-double Sarah Lane. If you do the math, that's 80 percent Natalie Portman.

So the co-star Mila Kunis in Portman's corner, things are not looking good for Sarah Lane's body double career.
