Khloe Kardashian Says I Am 'So Protective And Defensive' Of Kim Kardashian

Basketball player Kris Humphries couldn't keep up with the Kardashians, but Khloe sure can stand up for Kim Kardashian!

Khloe Kardashian, 27, told Australia's Telegraph on Wednesday, 'I am so protective and defensive'. Hours after Kim, 31, filed for divorce from Humphries, 26, after just 72 days of marriage, the close sisters plus Khloe's hubby Lamar Odom took a plane to Australia to promote their handbag line.

'I want to stand up and say to everyone, 'That's not true,' and yell at people, but I can't do that,' Khloe Kardashian said. 'No matter what, whether you're at your best, you're always going to have your critics saying something'

Khloe Kardashian's NBA hubby, 31, told her she had 'such an attitude' dealing with Kim's divorce drama. 'It's - because I feel for my sisters, and it's so hard for her. Of course it bothers me, especially to hear all the (negative) comments.'

When asked if it was sisterly intuition that made Khloe not like Humphries even before the split, she mused: 'I don't know why I was that way, I just was. I'm obsessed with her.'

'Kim Kardashian is like my heart and soul, and she's been so strong in coming on this trip,' Khloe Kardashian said.'I just love, love, love that she believes in love the way she does. It's what makes her the way she is... There are not many people like that.'

But Khloe Kardashian also feels 'like I have to protect (Kim Kardashian) more' because she's so in love with love. 'When Kim loves, she loves hard, and that's for her girlfriends, that's for anybody,' she said. 'I really respect that and that's her work ethic. She loves to design, she loves that too - it's not just with a man.'

Kim Kardashian Expected To File For Divorce From Kris Humphries

Actress.Kim Kardashian is expected to file for divorce on Monday, just 72 days after marrying basketball player Kris Humphries in a lavish wedding, celebrity news website TMZ.com said.

The 31 years old Kardashian, star of the TV show 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians', is due to file papers in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences, TMZ said, citing sources close to the couple.

Ryan Seacrest, executive producer of 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians,' said on his morning radio show that he had spoken to Kardashian and that she had confirmed the split.

'Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins,' Ryan Seacrest added in a Twitter message.

Kim Kardashian's publicist could not immediately be reached for comment.

The couple married on Aug. 20 in southern California in a wedding reported to have cost $10 million, after dating for about nine months. More than three million U.S. viewers watched a two-part TV special earlier this month called 'Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian event'.

The Reality TV star Kardashian is one of the highest-paid reality stars on U.S. television with 2010 earnings estimated at $6 million from her TV show, clothing line, perfume, jewelry and tanning cream and other product endorsements and appearances.

Claims of tension in the marriage have spread across entertainment media for the past week, with reports of 26-year-old New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries' reluctance to play his role in the Kardashian brand and differences over where the newlyweds should make their home.
