Tobin also told People on Friday that Muniz is not suicidal and voluntarily handed over the gun to authorities and no charges were made.
The entertainment website TMZ obtained a recording of Muniz's 911 call where Muniz told the dispatcher, I don't want to make a big deal because I am a celebrity. The former actor also said on the call that his girlfriend was 'trashing the house' and hitting him in the face.
The February 11 police report states that the 25-year-old actor and musician argued with his girlfriend about 'prior relationships', according to Us Weekly. The report also states that Muniz grabbed a gun and held it to his head, possibly with the intent of committing suicide.
The former child star took a hiatus from the acting world to become a race car driver, though he made a brief return with voice work in the 2010 animated feature, The Legend of Secret Pass. He now lives in Arizona and performs with the band You Hang Up where he plays drums.
