The Singer Pia Toscano has signed a record deal with Interscope Records, according to US Weekly Magazine.
The 22-year-old Pia Toscano, who was eliminated from American Idol last week from New York, will now start work on her debut album.
Pia Toscano's exit from the hit singing contest shocked the nation and her fans reacted angrily to the decision. The American Idol judges also spoke of their disbelief at the elimination and assured Pia that she could look forward to a bright future.
As expected, Toscano was immediately courted by the major record labels and has reportedly chosen to sign with Interscope. According to US Weekly, Starting Thursday night after the show, Interscope told her they wanted her and first thing Friday morning Interscope brass started calling every top songwriter and producer in town to get an album together and rush release it.
After her elimination drew outrage from audiences, Pia Toscano also struggled with the shock and had to be tended to by a medic in the 'Idol' studio.
Since being eliminated from the 'Idol', Pia Toscano has started dating the Dancing With The Stars professional Mark Ballas, according to Tmz.
