Actor Shia LaBeouf criticized 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' in an interview with Details magazine saying that while filming the critically panned but commercially successful film, We were flying by the seat of our pants, with an unlimited budget. He added, None of us had any clue what we were doing.
However, Shia LaBeouf says that the latest film in the franchise, 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon', is our best film. It's nice to leave on a high note and be proud of what you did.
The 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon' depicts a fictional account of what happens when it is revealed that a Apollo 11 moon landing mission in 1969 had found a wrecked alien robot spacecraft with no survivors during a secret mission on the dark side of the moon, confirming that mankind is not alone in the universe.
The movie, which is directed by Michael Bay, also stars returning actors Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Ramón RodrÃguez and John Turturro, as well as Peter Cullen, who voices Autobot leader Optimus Prime, and Hugo Weaving, who voices the villain Megatron.
Newcomers include 'Grey's Anatomy' actor Patrick Dempsey, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong of the comedy movie 'The Hangover' and Frances McDormand.
The actor recalls the lengthy shooting process in Chicago fondly in a recent interview provided by DreamWorks Pictures, saying: 'We shut Chicago down for a good month and a half. Six weeks we were in Chicago and we didn't leave anything unturned, really. We did Chicago. laughs. Mike 'director Michael Bay' did Chicago. You know they gave him the key to the city.
Though we really blew Chicago up completely, he 'Bay' was really respectful to it, Chicago and the people who were there, and they were incredible to us, LaBeouf added. It was a great place to work. You're in 'Transformers' in Chicago, there's 20,000 people in the streets. I mean every day you would show up, it was like being a rock star. It was like a concert.
Shia LaBeouf suggested that he had become romantically involved with Megan Fox while shooting a 'Transformers' film. She has not commented. On Wednesday, June 29, Us Weekly magazine quoted a set source as saying: Yes, Megan and Shia hooked up.
Look, you are on the set for six months, with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you, and you're rooting to be attracted to them, Shia LaBeouf had told Details, without specifying a time. I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation. But the time I spent with Megan Fox was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry onscreen.
